Supported Living
Helping people live well, with the right support around them
Everyone should have the opportunity to live in a place they can call home. Furthermore, people deserve to make meaningful choices about their lives and be supported to achieve their personal goals.
Our supported living services are designed around the individual. Consequently, we provide flexible, person-centred support for adults who may have learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health needs and behaviours that require specialist support.
Rather than focusing solely on what someone needs help with, we take time to understand who they are. In addition, we focus on what matters to them and what they want their future to look like.
What is Supported Living?
The right home can play an important role in someone’s independence, wellbeing and quality of life. Therefore, we work with housing providers, landlords and other partners to identify and develop suitable houses, apartments and bungalows.
Every property is considered on an individual basis. We take into account accessibility, safety, comfort, personal preferences and the person’s longer-term aspirations. Consequently, we work alongside the individual and their wider professional network to identify environmental requirements.
Individualised Support Planning
Person-Centred Supported Living
Rather than focusing solely on what someone needs help with, we take time to understand who they are. In addition, we focus on what matters to them and what they want their future to look like.
Our aim is to provide the right combination of accommodation, care and specialist support. As a result, we help people develop greater independence, confidence and quality of life.
Support Designed Around You
No two people are the same, and neither should their support be. Consequently, we develop individualised support plans based on each person’s abilities, communication style, preferences, routines, needs and aspirations.
We work closely with the individual and their family, advocates and wider multidisciplinary team. This helps to build a consistent approach that promotes positive outcomes. Furthermore, we ensure that every plan is reviewed regularly to reflect changing needs.

Our Properties & Homes
We work with housing providers, landlords and other partners to identify and develop suitable houses, apartments and bungalows that can meet the individual needs of the people we support.
Every property is considered on an individual basis, taking into account accessibility, safety, comfort, personal preferences and the person’s longer-term aspirations.
We work alongside the individual and their wider professional network to identify environmental requirements and ensure the accommodation is appropriate before they move in.
Our aim is to create homes that are practical, comfortable, safe and personalised, while enabling people to live as independently as possible.
A Home of Your Own
We believe that supported living should feel like living in your own home. Furthermore, the people we support should have the opportunity to make their home their own. This includes choosing furnishings and personal belongings to decorating their space.
Having your own space and your own front door can make a significant difference to a person’s sense of independence. Therefore, we aim to provide accommodation that offers stability and continuity. Consequently, individuals can feel secure in their long-term living arrangements.
Housing & Support Separation
An important part of our supported living approach is maintaining a clear distinction between a person’s home and the support they receive. Consequently, accommodation is provided through an independent landlord or registered social housing provider.
Responsibility for tenancy arrangements remains separate from the care and support services. This separation provides individuals with greater security and peace of mind. Therefore, their home remains their home, regardless of any future changes to their care.
Creating the Right Environment
For people with more complex needs, the environment can have a significant impact on their wellbeing. Therefore, when planning accommodation, we consider factors such as accessibility, mobility, and sensory needs.
Where specialist adaptations are required, these can be explored in partnership with professionals. Our approach is to achieve the right balance between safety and independence. As a result, we create homes that are robust yet welcoming.
Understanding Behaviour & Communication
We recognise that behaviour can communicate something important. For someone who has difficulty communicating verbally, behaviour may be their way of expressing distress or frustration.
Our approach is centred on understanding the reason behind the behaviour. Consequently, we use evidence-informed approaches, including positive behavioural support, to help our teams respond consistently. Furthermore, we work closely with families to ensure a unified approach.
